Building Work Relationships

Description

Learn how to build work relationships that establish trust, encourage risk taking, and create open and honest communications.

Open and honest communication is critical to understanding critical issues, making decisions, solving problems, developing plans, and resolving conflicts. But people often hold back information for fear others may get angry, take things the wrong way, shoot the messenger, or attack them for disagreeing. This shut down in communications results in the organization taking the wrong action and wasting valuable time in the blaming and finger pointing that follows.

Strong work relationships create the free flow of ideas needed to increase innovation and creativity. They create the information rich environment needed to determine the “right thing to do”—the right decision, the right solution, the right plan, and the right conflict resolution strategy.

In this webinar you will learn a process for relationship building that creates trust and encourages people to risk being open and honest. This process defines the elements of relationship building and how they interact to either create or destroy trust. Understanding this process will allow you to assess your strengths and weaknesses in relationship building and develop techniques for building trust and encouraging open and honest communications.
